INTRODUCTION
The MEDEX Program for U.S. Government Contractors, NGOs, and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Contractors gives employees direct access to prompt assistance in the event of a medical emergency while traveling or living abroad. With MEDEX Assistance, emergency response services are quickly and easily accessible to participants anytime, anywhere.

Participants can call toll-free or collect using the numbers on the back of the MEDEX enrollment card. Multilingual assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The quality of medical care varies worldwide and proper treatment of even minor illnesses may not exist locally. For this reason, the MEDEX program also pays for worldwide medical evacuation and repatriation. This service is often a necessity in the event of a more serious case.
